*NEW* 2020 YAMAHA YZ450F

As Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s motorsports marketing manager said: “The 2020 Yamaha YZ450F features design changes which resulted in a lighter, faster and more nimble handling machine that will once again raise the bar in the 450 class”. He also added, “Yamaha’s 2020 lineup of four-stroke motocross bikes boast the most advanced, race-ready machines of their respective classes.”

The 2020 YZ450F

In 2020, Yamaha will add to their family six racing motocross bikes; 2 of them are 4 strokes, YZF 450 (10.599 $ / 9.399 €) and YZF 250 (9799 $ / 8.699 €). The other four, 2 strokes, YZ 250 (9299 $ / 8199 €), YZ 125 (8399 $ / 7399 €), YZ 85 (5299 $ / 4699 €) and YZ 65 (4999 $ / 4.299 €). Approximately prices.

The YZF 449cc model; liquid-cooled, four-stroke, electric start engine features an all-new compact cylinder head with redesigned combustion chamber shape, steeper valve angles, and more aggressive cam profiles. The reward-slanted cylinder houses a higher compression piston with low friction rings attached to a longer connecting rod. 

A new piston and longer connecting rod complement the new cylinder head.

YZF 450cc let us enjoy a newly designed front brake caliper, brake pads, and front and rear disc, increasing its power output with a more controllable linear acceleration and decreasing its weight.

The seat on the YZ450F sits over a half-inch lower than last year model. The seat is now right at 38.0 inches, down by 0.6 inches. Yamaha’s YZ450F weight is the same, 245 pounds.
